The Exorcism

With this ring I seal your fate,

banish your demons and free you of hate.

In stone your smile is cast,

me your lover first and last.

\With this ring I make you mine,

forever and a day-for all time.

To love and to hold,

create the greatest love story ever told.

\With this ring I lay claim,

your heart your body your surname.

\With this ring I show intent,

children and the rent.

\With this ring,

I am complete.

Regrets

They are a mercilless breed belonging to no earthly creed, unseen.

A hidden conscience a startling reminder of who we`ve been.

Stalking us turning us into pretenders, unclean.

There is no remedy no cure.

When they`re at work ripping at every living pore.

Like a scourge from the depths of hell so humbling so sore.

Their outward manifestations reveal a repentant figure.

Belated,unsure.

Young man the deed is done your fate is sealed your destiny come.

You shed a few tears make a mountain of all your fears.

For forgiveness you plead yet to the darkness you reluctantly heed.

Knowingly sinfully on poison do feed.

Your actions vile cause satan to smile before damnation.

You alone stand trial.

The judge and the jury against you do stand.

Finally lifes` dealt you a very bad hand.

Your soul in the balance could never stand a chance.

Against the powers of evil.

Who request your last dance a bitter reminder of your wayward stance!

The Poet

The arts truly this is life a life so real.

Enslaved to what i alone do feel.

It lifts me up it bears my soul.

To this force alone i give me whole.

This warmth within my breast.

This fire raging wild within my chest.

Indescribable,my thoughts and fears.

My hopes and tears.

I cannot from this disposition hide it grips me so.

Carrying me yonder oer and oer.

It cuts me sunder and wrangs at the very sinew of my bone.

This manic passion i call mine own.

The Gods immortal have spoken.

On my heart the written word has broken.

Retribution

Long after the dust has settled on your pathetic lives,

Long after the glint has vanished from your back-stabbing knives,

Oneday when your righteousness denies,

Hell bent, no respite from your blood-curdling cries,

Searching for salvation but your saviour dies,

Choking on your disturbing lies,

Remembering saintly goodbye's,

Life is lost and no-one can hear your sighs,

I'll sit all arrogant, boastful and despise,

Asleep, in death i'll have my ultimate disguise

The smokers roll

Amidst the work and amidst the play

I often miss the opportunity that is today

So often when I awake or go to bed

I take for granted that today I could be dead

Today im grateful just to be alive

What better gift could the lord contrive?

To feel this early morning chill

To know that death and all its efforts have come to nil

To

To these them years whilst still in our prime,

Shrouded in guilt surrounded by crime.

To years long lost,

Blood and tears that have cost.

To friendships ended with jealousy blended,

To our closest friends so well pretended.

To the power above,

Moments filled with so much love.

To building castles in the sky,

Faith that never does truly die.

For friendships sake,

The odd daybreak!

To our girls immortalized,

To family oft despised!

Minute to Mars

The moon looks down on this beautiful night,

At me she gazes such a pitiful sight.

The clouds make way as she changes her path,

The heavens concede,her glory unsurpassed.

She sticks and moves,

Around the globe she does a starlight cruise.

The darkness does erode,

Her light a timeless beacon to behold.

The stars bow down the closer she draws,

All in chorus they simply pause.

My eyes i close,

A mortal on earth struck by her hypnotic pose!

Fornication

To what honour is there in this life i live,

Abstaining from the inevitable,

Fighting these urges,veritable!

This abstinence is no measure,

My strengh of heart has long gone taken its leisure.

Now i sit and weep waiting for that glorious day to roll on,

Where heaven, earth and hell culminate in one,

When all my vows and promises have come to none!

In a vacuum

The new year dawns,

Another wretched year at varsity it spawns.

My life reduced to a game of chess,

My brother the king me,myself and I the Pawns.

In my own life, decisions i cannot take,

Situation and monetary flow dictate.

Earl king`s inherent blueprint is a fake.

My inner voice i`m losing,

My walk is bruising,

Yin and yang dangerously fusing,

Me they`re all way acquising.

Can they not see that writing is my passion.

Can they not understand my life is mine to fashion?

Baptism

In your life Ive been reduced to an after-thought,
Sold the truth and never bought,
Choices from carnal things wrought,
Whilst you prayed, I my own selfish pleasures sought,
Now the enemy has me caught,
Unravelling all Ive ever been taught,
All your efforts turned to naught,
This tear my final resort.
